In about 2002, I developed a modern, stylized way of painting that was once described as “somewhere between a coloring book and stained glass.” After selling nearly all of those paintings before I left NJ, I felt free to explore other approaches. More recently I’ve been working in watercolor, using a build-up of layers to get a strong, bold look that feels like “me.” But I still enjoy painting in my ol’ style sometimes, and people still like to buy them, often commissioning favorite foods or beloved pets!
