PORTFOLIO OF WORK
Mixed Works
As you can tell, I enjoy working in a range of media. I’ve always been a collage artist and often utilize monoprints in my mixed media pieces. On this page, I’ve also included linoleum cuts (which I later add color to) and works on paper done with oil pastels.
Prices reflect ARTWORK ONLY - not framed unless otherwise indicated - but either matted or mounted.
Watercolors
Although I taught Watercolor as a high school art teacher, I’d never personally explored the medium in depth before coming to California. Now, I have created dozens and it is one of my favorite subjects to teach! With a couple of exceptions, all my work is based on photos that I took myself. As you can see, I am drawn to pleasing subject matters like flowers, fruits, land and seascapes, and domestic scenes.
Prices reflect UNFRAMED watercolors on paper, which makes shipping affordable. Prices reflect ARTWORK ONLY, either matted or mounted.
Acrylics
In about 2002, I developed a modern, stylized way of painting that was once described as “somewhere between a coloring book and stained glass.” I sold nearly all of those paintings before I left NJ, but I still paint in that style sometimes -- and people still like to buy them, often commissioning FAVORITE FOODS or BELOVED PETS! Let me know if you have an interest in commissioning an original piece for yourself or as a gift.
NEW! The Stamp Collection
I recently inherited hundreds of stamps -- cancelled postage stamps from around the world -- so I am inspired to work on a new collection, the Stamp Collection! These acrylic/mixed media works will incorporate my beloved cadmium red outlines, some stamps, and texture applied to the canvas beforehand.
Prices are for paintings on gallery wrap canvases; wired for hanging; no framing required.
Giclées & Multiples
Giclées (pronounced jee-clays) are high-end reproductions of original works, printed with archival inks on archival papers (and sometimes on canvas). They will probably last longer than the originals! My giclées are all part of a numbered edition. If description says “print,” it is a reprint of the original, but not an archival limited edition.
Prices reflect ARTWORK ONLY, not framed, but either matted or mounted.
The last item, Forever Calendars, are a colorful, easy-to-mail, gift idea – especially for folks in nursing homes who don’t have much wall-space. Fill them in with important family dates and make someone happy. Hanging size is 4″x 17″. (PLEASE NOTE: These are not annual calendars but are used to remember recurring events like birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
Ethereals
My spiritual interests led me to begin a series of larger (36″x36″) mixed media pieces on canvas in 2012. I have updated some of these pieces and completed additional works trying to convey spiritual ideas that I believe. Now that I have a larger body of work in this realm (haha), I am sharing it with the world. Some of them have “secret writing” that is visible on closer inspection. Closeups available upon request.

The Red Line Series
In January 2024, I had a show at Moonlight Brewing in Santa Rosa, for which I created a whole new body of work, the Red Line series. All of the acrylic paintings in the series incorporate collage and, most identifiably, a cadmium red outline that appears and disappears around the subjects. With the exception of Miss Liberty, whose "skin" is a patina-ed green, I became a student of skin tones in this undertaking. Does the song "Mrs. Robinson" come to mind when you look at THE GRADUATES? I hope it made you smile!
Prices reflect ARTWORK only; they are on canvas board, unframed, but include a hanging system that makes them "float" 1-2 inches away from the wall.
